Provided is a system that comprises a dehydration unit and a supply unit for supplying matter to be treated to the dehydration unit. The dehydration unit includes a plurality of plates communicated by supply holes through which a fluid matter to be treated is supplied. Water is removed in a state in which the plurality of plates is closed to form a plurality of filtration chambers into which the matter to be treated flows. The plurality of plates is opened to discharge the dehydrated matter (dehydration product). The supply unit includes a pump for suctioning the matter to be treated from the plurality of filtration chambers in advance of the opening of the plurality of plates of the dehydration unit. Suctioning the matter to be treated from the plurality of filtration chambers in advance of the opening of the plurality of plates allows the fluid matter that is to be treated and that has a relatively high water content and is present in the supply holes to be removed by suction from the filtration chambers. Consequently, the water content of the discharged product can be further reduced.
