PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter bank that has the simplest possible configuration.SOLUTION: Filters are multiplexed by time-division and a sampling frequency is lowered toward later stages to improve time division efficiency. In the process of down-sampling, coefficients are shared in an octave relationship between higher stages and lower stages, so that a coefficient memory is extremely small. As for time allocation for time division, a wired logic or microprogram configuration is used to specify adjustments when necessary such that various positions are reached in a division block, and process clocks when necessary in allocating a time division slot for processing each block. |
