PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire building drum which overcomes a drawback derived from a center sleeve made of rubber.SOLUTION: The tire building drum comprises: a rotatable drum having a center section 20 which has no center sleeve and is radially expandable and having a first and second shoulder sections. The center section 20 has a first and second ends each having a shoulder. The center section 20 further comprises a first and second shoulder seals 60a, 60b, the first and second shoulder seals 60a, 60b have a first ends 62a, 62b received in a clamp and a second free ends 64a, 64b slidable on the first or second end of the center section 20 so that the shoulder seals 60a, 60b extend over the shoulder of the center section 20. |
