摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a spitting generation rate when a CaO-containing powder and oxygen-containing gas are blown to a molten iron from a top-blowing lance in a converter type refining vessel.SOLUTION: A CaO-containing powder together with an oxygen-containing gas of 1.0 to 6.0 Nm/min per 1 ton of a molten iron is brown from a top-blowing lance and refined by using a converter type refining vessel. The top-blowing lance is used which has a nozzle having 3 or more holes positioned at equal intervals on the same circumference and in which an angle &alpha; and an angle &bgr; satisfies expression (1):0<tan&alpha;/tan&bgr;<2.75, where &alpha;(°) and &bgr;(°) denote angles formed between a nozzle axis and a yz plane and an xy plane respectively in a xyz orthogonal coordinate system in which the nozzle axis is denoted as a z-axis and the lance center axis is on the x-axis. The CaO-containing powder is blown after blowing 0.5 Nmor more of the oxygen-containing gas per 1 ton of the molten iron.
