PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a steel product which does not show variation in quality of material, and to provide an advantageous method for manufacturing a high-strength cold-rolled steel sheet which does not show variation in quality of material by using the method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the steel product includes: determining a non-linear relational expression between the quality of material of the steel product and a plurality of factors influential in the quality of material by using a neural network; substituting a target quality of the material of the steel product and remaining factors influential in the quality of the material except an intentional control factor which is one of the factors influential in the quality of the material in the non-linear relational expression to determine the target value of the intentional control factor from which the target quality of the material can be obtained; and manufacturing the steel product by controlling the intentional control factor to the target value.
