PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbazole derivative having a higher efficiency and durability than those of conventional materials, and a positive hole-transporting material by using the same derivative. SOLUTION: This amine derivative is expressed by general formula (1) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>5</SP>are each independently H, 1C-18C linear, branched or cyclic alkyl, 1C-18C linear, branched or cyclic alkoxy or a substituted or non-substituted phenyl; Ar<SP>1</SP>, Ar<SP>2</SP>are each independently 6C-40C substituted or non-substituted aryl, or 5C-40C substituted or non-substituted heteroaryl; and provided that the R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>may form a ring by bonding with each other].
