A scaffolding bracket 50 comprises a support 52 for at least part of a scaffolding platform (46, Fig 6), a releasable clamp 62 for releasably securing the bracket to a scaffolding upright (32, Fig 6) and two further releasable clamps 60, 70 for releasably securing the bracket to two scaffolding ledgers (36, Fig 6). Preferably the bracket includes a single clamping unit which comprises the releasable clamp 62 for the scaffolding upright and one of the releasable clamps for securing a ledger. The invention avails the user of ledgers which can in turn secure transoms, the use of which avoids the need to overlap platform boards and the risks thereof. The bracket may include a releasable clamp for releasably attaching the bracket to a puncheon (vertical tube without base upon ground). An independent claim to a scaffolding bracket which comprises a releasable clamp for securing a puncheon is also claimed. |
