PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, although an SPD is used for protecting electrical equipment from a surge current, it is recommended to install an SPD separator since there is a risk that a leakage current flows by deteriorating characteristics in an SPD comprised of MOV and the SPD fires per se, such that an SPD separator is desired in which unwanted operation is not performed by a large current such as lightning surge current, even a smaller fault current can be cut off, on the other hand, and an overvoltage caused by a back electromotive force that may occur in surge current discharging or current cutoff is suppressed small.SOLUTION: Non-induced winding is provided by winding a soluble body around an outer periphery of a support formed from a heat resistant insulation material in such a manner that a flowing direction of a current becomes reverse in a circumferential direction with the same number of times of winding. In a large surge current with inductivity, induction reactance is reduced to prevent discharging of the surge current from being disturbed. An overvoltage which may generate in surge current discharging or current cutoff of an SPD separator, is suppressed small and regarding a fault current of an SPD, heat radiation in a terminal direction is suppressed by winding, such that even a smaller fault current can be cut off. |
