PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple link-type internal combustion engine capable of suppressing thermal loss of a residual combustion gas, and further suppressing friction to inside of the internal combustion engine by the residual combustion gas.SOLUTION: A multiple link-type internal combustion engine 10 includes: a power transmission structure 30 capable of transmitting rotation of a crank shaft 16 to a pivot shaft 24. The power transmission structure 30 includes: a planetary gear mechanism 31 provided with a sun gear 65 on the crank shaft 16; a driving gear 73 disposed on a ring gear 72 of the planetary gear mechanism 31; a driven gear 32 engaged with the driving gear 73 and disposed on the pivot shaft 24; and an adjustment mechanism 33. By switching a rotating direction of a carrier 68 by the adjustment mechanism 33, an engagement phase of the driven gear 32 to the driving gear 73 can be adjusted. |
