PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer method in which without increasing a circuit size, coexistence of highspeed transfer and power saving is attained in accordance with types of data transfer mode in an adaptive manner.SOLUTION: A data transfer device includes a transfer data load processing part for reading transfer data from a storage device, and a transfer data storage processing part for writing the transfer data to the storage device. Transmission and reception of the data is controlled by using the data storage part for transmitting/receiving data via a network. Data transfer between the storage device and data storage part is controlled by controlling each of the operations of the transfer data load processing part and the transfer data storage processing part. In a first transfer mode, which is a transfer mode in which an amount of transfer data to be transferred is determined, when a total amount of the transfer data by the data transfer reaches a specified data transfer amount, it is determined that the data transfer has completed. In a second transfer mode, which is a transfer mode in which an amount of transfer data to be transferred is not determined, when information indicative of an end of the transfer data by the data transfer is detected, it is determined that the data transfer has completed. |
