PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage the place for storing radioactive waste correctly in consideration of the characteristics of the waste.SOLUTION: A waste management system, includes a database storing: an individual identification code of an identifier marker attached to a waste storage container; original place information; storage position information; original date; waste information including a radiation concentration; and destination information including an acceptable radiation concentration. Time-dependent radiation concentration of waste information having the specified individual identifier code is calculated on the basis of the radiation concentration and the period from the original date to the specified date, to select a storage place where the calculated time-dependent radiation concentration meets the acceptable radiation concentration.
