A virtual payment service system for boosting social commerce comprises: a buyer terminal which requests payment for purchase of a product while providing product payment information for purchase of the product, and determines the final purchase thereof or requests the return thereof at the point of time when the product is received; a seller terminal which receives information about the product, for which the product payment information is provided by the buyer terminal, and information about a corresponding buyer, and processes the delivery of the product corresponding to the product information using the buyer information; a social commerce relay server which, if the product payment information and the payment for purchase of the product is requested by the buyer terminal, provides the seller terminal with the information about the product requested to be paid for and the buyer information, and issues a discount coupon for the product; an authentication server which transmits, to the buyer terminal, an authentication number, and the discount coupon issued by the social commerce relay server, and receives, from the buyer terminal, final purchase decision or a return request, including the authentication number; and a virtual payment service server which store the product payment information which the social commerce relay server has received and if the authentication server receives the final purchase decision, requests the payment to a financial institution server, receives payment authorization therefrom, notifies the buyer terminal and the seller terminal of payment completion and if the authentication server receives the return request, cancels the payment after the product is returned to a seller, and notifies the buyer terminal and the seller terminal of payment cancellation.
