PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a polyoxyalkylene compound, which suppresses generation of peroxides, in consideration that, in a conventional method where a heating period in a dehydration step is shortened, generation of peroxides is suppressed but residual water exerts adverse effects during production of polyurethane, and in a conventional method where an antioxidant is added before or during reaction, a large amount of the antioxidant needs to be added because the antioxidant decomposes during the reaction, and impurities in a product increases, making the process undesirable in terms of both economy and physical properties (especially mechanical properties) of foams.SOLUTION: A process for producing a polyoxyalkylene compound includes a step to dehydrate a crude polyoxyalkylene compound (1) after adding an antioxidant (d) thereto in an amount of 10 to 3,000 ppm based on a weight of (1) prior to dehydration, the crude polyoxyalkylene compound (1) being obtained by addition of an alkylene oxide (c) to an active hydrogen compound (b) in the presence of a catalyst (a). |
