The crankshaft (2) has rolling bearings (1) i.e. prefabricated rolling bearings, arranged at front ends and shaft portions of the crankshaft, where the shaft portions are formed as inner rings of the respective rolling bearings. The rolling bearings are formed from roller bearing steel, and comprise a surface profile element and/or contour element at an outer ring (6). A crankshaft flange (9) and/or an output wheel (10) are firmly bonded at the crankshaft by a conical centering and a laser welding process. The rolling bearings are applied with lubrication oil. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a crankshaft.
