PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the oscillation of control such as tension control which uses a rolling mill speed as a final control element, even when a control gain is large.SOLUTION: A rolling control device controls a tandem rolling mill in which a plurality of pairs of rolls are used to roll a material to be rolled. According to the deviation of a state quantity measured between adjacent pairs of rolls, the rolling control device controls the rotational speed of a pair of rolls arranged on the upstream side, of the adjacent pairs of rolls, and the rotational speed of a pair of rolls arranged on the further upstream side. The rolling control device detects the oscillation of the state quantity measured between the adjacent pairs of rolls, and changes a control response in the control of the rotational speed of the pair of rolls arranged on the upstream side, of the adjacent pairs of rolls between which the oscillation is detected. |
