PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tufting machine forming a tufted article including yarn of many different colors with a pattern.SOLUTION: A system comprises: at least one needle bar having a series of needles got along the needle bar; a backing feed roll feeding a backing material through a tufting zone of a tufting machine; a pattern yarn feed mechanism feeding needle with a series of yarn; at least one needle bar shifter shifting the needle bar across the tufting zone laterally; a series of gauge unit attached under the tufting zone and in a position engaging with the needle of the needle bar when the needle goes to and from in the backing material and forms tufts of the yarn to the backing material; and a control system controlling the yarn feed mechanism collaborating with at least one needle bar shifter, controlling feed of the yarn to the needle, and forming high yarn tufts and low tufts to the backing material. |
