PURPOSE: A voice based multimedia content tagging method capable of determining a content section and a device thereof are provided to determine a multimedia content section using an easy and effective way, thereby tagging voice data in the determined section. CONSTITUTION: A voice data input unit (230) inputs voice data from the outside to an electronic device in a voice data input mode by a voice data input mode activation unit. A dragging gesture detection unit (240) detects a dragging gesture which is made by two touches on a touch screen in the voice data input mode by the voice data input mode activation unit. A contents section decision unit (250) determines a content section according to a distance between the two touches. A storage unit (260) stores the voice data as tagging data by the voice data input unit in the content section determined by the content section decision unit.
