<p>Installation of the melting, treating and transportation of liquid metals to be used in a foundry comprises at least one furnace chamber, one holding chamber and one vacuum out-gassing, or gas treatment chamber. The plant feeds at least one discharge point, electromagnetic pumps being used for the transport of the melt between the three chambers and for its treatment within them. All chambers are at the same level. Pref. melting is effected by exposing solid metal lying on an inclined plane to a shower of liqid metal. The plant is intended for metals such as Al, and Zn.</p> |
