PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure and control the amount of residual water remaining in a container after the container is rinsed in a filling line. SOLUTION: In the filling line composed of a rinser 6 for rinsing the container P such as a bottle, a PET bottle or the like with clean water or the like, and a weight-metering type filler 7 for filling the container P rinsed by the rinser 6 with liquid such as a beverage or the like while metering the weight thereof, the weight of the container before rinsing is measured by a weight checker 4 which is provided at the former stage of the rinser 6 for measuring the weight of the container, and the weight of the container after rinsing is measured by the weight checker of the weight-metering type filler 7 before the liquid is filled so as to meter and control the residual water remaining in the container after rinsing according to a difference in weight between the container after rinsing and the container before rinsing.
