The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same. The liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a first substrate and a second substrate which are arranged to face each other; a wiring part formed on the first substrate and an ultraviolet ray blocking layer formed to be aligned with the wiring part on both sides of the wiring part; an organic film formed on the first substrate to cover the wiring part and the ultraviolet ray blocking layer; a liquid crystal layer located between the organic film and the second substrate; and a sealing member formed on the outside of the liquid crystal layer between the organic film and the second substrate, wherein the wiring part and the ultraviolet ray blocking layer are formed on the same layer, and the sealing member is formed in a position overlapping the wiring part, thereby minimizing defects of an organic film generated when irradiating ultraviolet rays to form the sealing member.
