PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting transmitting system and a stream processing method thereof are provided to perform encoding and decoding in a turbo unit with respect to a turbo stream having a variable coding rate. CONSTITUTION: A transport stream generator(100) includes a RS(Reed-Solomon) encoder, a duplicator, and a multiplexer. The RS encoder encodes a supplementary data stream. The duplicator codes the encoded supplementary data stream according to a variable coding rate. The multiplexer performs multiplexing of the coded supplementary data stream to a normal data stream. A transmitter(200) encodes and transmits the generated transport stream. |
