PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter: having a braided body with a distal end portion that does not break through a distal end tip of the catheter even when a thickness or a length of the distal end tip is reduced; being excellent in a push-in property and a torque transmission property; and having the distal end tip with high tensile strength.SOLUTION: A catheter comprises an inner layer, a braided body, an outer layer, and a distal end tip. A recessed region 100 having a side 101 that is larger than the sum of an element wire width X1 of a first element wire 26a and a spacing X2 between the adjacent element wires and the other side 102 that is larger than the sum of an element wire width Y1 of a second element wire 26b and a spacing Y2 between the adjacent element wires, is formed in a distal end portion 27 of the braided body. The distal end tip adheres to the inner layer at the recessed region 100. In addition, by providing the recessed region 100, a number of protruded parts 30 formed in the distal end portion 27 of the braided body becomes smaller than before. |
