PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of sulfate radical-containing aluminum polysulfate having any basicity from low basicity to high basicity.SOLUTION: A production method of sulfate radical-containing aluminum polysulfate includes (1) a process of preparing an alumina gel-containing solution by adding a sodium aluminate solution and a water-soluble aluminum salt containing at least one of a basic aluminum chloride solution (basicity is 35 to 65% and molar ratio SO/AlOis 0 to 0.4) and an aluminum sulfate solution to maintain a pH of a mixture of both solutions in a range of 4 to 11 and reacting them (basicity of the alumina gel is 70 to 100% and the molar ratio SO/AlOin the alumina gel-containing solution is 0 to 2), (2) a process of mixing the resulting almina gel-containing solution and a basic aluminum chloride solution having basicity of 25 to 65%, and (3) a process of dissolving the almina gel in the obtained mixture. |
