In the present invention, a device for detecting a necrotic cell region comprises the following: image acquisition means for acquiring a cell image of live cells; region division means for dividing the cell image into multiple regions such that local image quality characteristics are uniform; bandwidth division means for resolving the cell image into an image that comprises a low-frequency image of a low-frequency component and a high-frequency image of a high-frequency component; characteristic amount calculation means for calculating the texture characteristic amount from the high-frequency image for each region; a luminance calculation means for calculating the luminance average value from the low-frequency image for each region; and evaluation means for evaluating whether a region is a necrotic cell region on the basis of the texture characteristic amount and luminance average amount. |
