PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when transmission of a reference signal from a base station is stopped and a mobile station does not receive the reference signal any more, power consumption of the mobile station increases because the mobile station recognizes itself to be out of a communicable area and frequently performs cell search operation for searching for a communicable area.SOLUTION: A femtocell base station 110 periodically refers to management information indicating whether a mobile station 120 performing communication exists in a femto base station area 130, and when it is determined that the mobile station 120 performing communication does not exists, transmits a reference signal transmission stop notification signal that gives a pre-notice to stop transmission of a reference signal to the mobile station 120 in the area 130 for power suppression, then stops transmission of the reference signal. Also, the mobile station 120 which has received the reference signal transmission stop notification signal, extends intervals for performing cell search operation in order to avoid frequent execution of the cell search operation and suppress power consumption for the cell search operation. |
