PURPOSE: A method for protecting the integrity of a log file and a device thereof are provided to guarantee the continuity of log data by controlling a recording position for new log data of a log file in which the integrity is spoiled. CONSTITUTION: A data determining unit (610) determines log data recorded in a log file. When the log data includes the data of a fixed length, a calculation unit (620) generates remained values by dividing the fixed length into the file size of the log file. An integrity determining unit (630) determines the integrity of the log file based on the remained value. When the damaged integrity of the log file is determined, a recording position determination unit (640) determines a position corresponding to the remained value based on a recorded position for the new log data of the log file.
