The present invention relates to a slab manufacturing method for suppressing generation of a crack in a continuous casting process, and a slab manufacturing apparatus. A slab manufacturing method comprises: a step for injecting a molten metal into a mold; and a step for drawing a slab from the mold. Since a notch groove is artificially formed in a surface of the slab by drawing the slab, generation of a crack can be suppressed by minimizing a depth, or generation of an oscillation mark, which is an origin of the generation of a crack, can be suppressed in a surface of the slab. |
