PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ice making machine having high reliability by improving ice making efficiency, and a refrigerator.SOLUTION: The automatic ice making machine includes driving means 23 having a driving shaft 85 connected to a rear part of an ice tray 25, at its front face, and dropping ice to an ice storage case 3b by rotating the ice tray 25 after ice making, and an ice detection lever 24 driven by the driving means 23 and detecting an amount of ice in the ice storage case 3b by being lowered from above the ice storage container 3b. The ice detection lever 24 is connected to an ice detection shaft 50 disposed on one side face in the lateral direction, of the driving means 23 at the rear part of the ice tray 25, the ice detection shaft 50 is positioned below the driving shaft 85, and the ice tray 25 is rotated from an ice making position for supplying water to the ice tray 25 to make ice, to a side opposite to the lateral direction of the driving means 23 provided with the ice detection lever 24, to drop the ice in an ice separating motion. |
