<p>An object is to provide an information processing device and a method for estimating the number of terminals, which can accurately count the number of mobile terminals in an analysis target region of which address attribute is an adjacent region, taking the intake phenomenon into account. A terminal counting portion 102 counts the numbers of position information pieces p(t) and p(t0) and the numbers of position information pieces q(t) and q(t0). An intake coefficient calculation portion 103 calculates an intake coefficient k based on the numbers of position information pieces p(t0) and q(t0). An intaked terminal calculation portion 104 calculates the number of intaked terminals q'(t) based on the counted number of position information pieces p(t) at the analysis target time t and the calculated intake coefficient k, subtracts the number of intaked terminals q'(t) from the number of position information pieces p(t), and calculates an estimated number of mobile terminals.</p> |
