PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing degradation of display quality.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a first substrate AR including a pixel electrode PE that has a contact portion PC, a main pixel electrode PA extending from the contact portion PC in a second direction Y, and a sub-pixel electrode PB extending in a first direction X and electrically connected to the main pixel electrode PA; a second substrate CT including a common electrode CE that has a main common electrode CA disposed on both sides interposing the main pixel electrode PA and a sub-common electrode CB disposed on both sides interposing the contact portion PC or the sub-pixel electrode PB; and a liquid crystal layer LQ containing liquid crystal molecules LM held between the first substrate AR and the second substrate CT. A sub-common electrode CBC disposed between the sub-pixel electrode PB and the contact portion PC extends substantially parallel to the sub-pixel electrode PB in an area between the main pixel electrodes PA of the pixel electrode PE arranged in the first direction X, and is electrically connected to the main common electrode CA. |
