PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary cutter for cutting an object to be cut, such as a sheet metal and a metal foil, while preventing burrs and flashes from occurring at the cut lines.SOLUTION: A rotary cutter comprises a first rotary member 2, which has at least one of a projecting part 21 and a recessed part 22 on the surface, a second rotary member 3, which is rotatable in the direction opposite to the rotation of the first rotary member 2 and has at least one of a projecting part 31 and a recessed part 32 on the surface, an elastic body 25, which is mounted in at least a part of a step part 27 of an edge 26 formed by the projecting part or the recessed part on the first rotary member, and an elastic body 35, which is mounted in at least a part of a step part of an edge 36 formed by the projecting part or the recessed part on the second rotary member. The surfaces of the first rotary member and the second rotary member are not in contact, and a cutting object passing between the first rotary member and the second rotary member is cut along the predetermined cut lines by the counter pressure of the first rotary member edge and the second rotary member edge. |
