PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can suppress a decrease in productivity of image formation that conventionally occurs when ejecting a sheet with surplus tab during a double-sided printing job.SOLUTION: When a plurality of sheet bundles with 5 tabs per bundle are set, a sheet with a tab is inserted in succession to double-sided image formation of 5 recording sheets, and then double-sided image formation of the 5 recording sheets is performed, a conventional image forming apparatus waits for image formation on a back surface of the tenth recording sheet to finish, as in (a), and ejects sheets T2 to T5 with 4 surplus tabs to an ejection destination as it does in the case of one-sided image formation. Creation of a second bundle of output sheets is re-started after a final sheet T5 of the sheet with 4 surplus tabs is ejected (timing t3). On the other hand, as in (b), the image forming apparatus of the invention ejects to an ejection destination the sheets T2 to T5 with surplus tabs in succession to feeding of a sheet T1 with a tab. |
