PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium-based compound nanoparticle composition and a method for forming the nanoparticle composition.SOLUTION: Lithium-based compound small particle compositions, as well as methods and structures associated with the same, are provided. Such a particle composition may sometimes be characterized by having nano-sized particle. The particle composition may be produced by milling process. In some embodiments the particle may be coated by a coating that can enhance certain characteristics (for example electric conductivity) of the particle composition. Also provided is a method for producing coated particle composition, and the method comprises: preparing a feedstock comprising a lithium-based compound feed particle and a coating material precursor, and a fluid carrier; milling the feedstock together with the fluid carrier; and forming a composition comprising the milled coated-lithium-based compound particle, and the milled particle has an average particle size of less than 250 nm. |
