PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor enabling high-speed and multibit A/D conversion while maintaining good A/D conversion characteristics.SOLUTION: In an image sensor in which pixels are arranged in a row direction and a column direction, a pixel signal is compared with a reference voltage for each column, the amplitude of the pixel signal is controlled in accordance with the comparison result, and thereafter AD(Analog-Digital) conversion is performed. |
