In a pulse output circuit having a transistor controlling a state that a pulse signal is set in a high level or not and having a function of outputting the pulse signal, the voltage of the gate of the transistor is intermittently higher than the voltage of VSS instead of maintaining the voltage of the gate of the transistor with a constant value. Therefore, stress on the transistor is prevented.
