<p>PURPOSE: A system and a method for adjusting a position of a rear camera for a vehicle are provided to easily adjust a position of a rear camera on a basis of the information of images photographed by the rear camera, thereby providing accurate image information to a driver. CONSTITUTION: A system for adjusting a position of a rear camera for a vehicle comprises a parking guide line recognizing unit(50), a parking area calculation unit(60), a comparing unit(70), an actuator(80), and a control unit(90). The parking guide line recognizing unit recognizes a parking guide line by using the information of images photographed by the rear camera. The parking area calculation unit calculates an area of a parking stall zoned by the parking guide line. The comparing unit determines whether or not a difference between the areas of the parking stall and the reference parking box is over a reference value by comparing the area of the parking stall and an area of a pre-set reference parking box. The actuator moves a position of the rear camera, thereby adjusting an optical axis. The control unit drives the actuator according to a comparison result of the comparing unit, thereby adjusting the position of the rear camera.
