PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a cyclic silazane compound with improved reactivity of an amine site and an alkoxysilane site. SOLUTION: The method for producing the cyclic silazane compound represented by general formula (2) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a 1 to 6C non-substituted or substituted divalent hydrocarbon group; one or more carbon atoms may be replaced by N, O, S; R<SP>2</SP>is a 3 to 6C non-substituted or substituted divalent hydrocarbon group; one or more carbon atoms may be replaced by N, O, S; R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>may each identically or differently be a 1 to 10C non-substituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; n is an integer of 0 to 2) includes subjecting an organic silicon compound represented by formula (1) to an intramolecular cyclization in the presence of a ≥1C organic sulfonyl group-containing compound.
