MAGNETIC SEPARATOR AND MAGNETIC DRUM FOR THE SAME

A magnetic separator includes: a transfer unit which transfers a sample in which magnetic particles and non-magnetic particles are mixed to easily control magnetic fields on an electric current and to improve sorting efficiency of magnetic materials by uniformly distributing magnetic density of magnetic force lines on the surface of a magnetic drum; and at least one magnetic drum which is located on an upper part of the transfer unit and selectively adsorbs magnetic particles from a sample transferred by magnetic fields. The magnetic drum includes a plurality of drum units which are wound with coils and are arranged in an axial direction. The magnetic drum has magnetic fields with different intensity on both sides in an axial direction.
