The present specification gives an explanation of a technology regarding biometric authentication based on an image of the eyes. Generally, an aspect of the topic explained in the specification is formed with a method including a step of obtaining two or more images of subjects including a view of the eyes. A computer realization method comprises: a step of determining a behavior metric based on detected movement of the eyes as the eyes are shown in multiple images; a step of determining a space metric based on a distance from a sensor to a landmark shown in the multiple images, each having a different focal distance; and a step of determining a reflection rate metric based on the detected change of a regular reflection pattern of the surface of the eyes or a surface glare. The computer realization method additionally comprises a step of determining a score based on the behavior, space, and reflection rate metrics and a step of refusing or accepting one or more images based on the score.
