The mold (1) has a skin covering a support and a decoration element arranged on the skin. Two parts (2, 4) are provided with respective application surfaces (6, 8) arranged opposite to each other. The parts are moved with respect to each other, so as to allow application of the skin on the support. An application unit (20) is moved between a retracted position in which the application unit is arranged in one of the parts, and an erected position in which a receiving surface (22) is applied against one of the application surfaces of the other part. An independent claim is also included for a method for realizing a part of a motor vehicle.
