The system (10) has a swiveling panel (25) and a swiveling device (28) connected to a sliding module (41) for sliding the panel transversely to a pivot axis such that the panel is rotated and relocated between a closing position and an opening position. The panel is placed approximately vertical to allow a support of loads to be placed vertically against the panel in the opening position. The panel partially laterally extends to a swiveling axis (28A) and below an edge (30) of an upper opening (22) of a loading compartment (12) towards outside of a vehicle (8). An independent claim is also included for a vehicle.
