The present invention relates to a brown rice shoot cultivating device which is adapted to artificially germinate brown rice and grow the shoots and is adapted to have a function whereby air and water are autonomously cleaned, and wherein an appropriate environment including the light irradiation time and water supply time is selected such that not only is the shoot growth rate improved but also it is possible to obtain a high content of active components such as arabinoxylan, melatonin and GABA. Also, the invention concerns a technique relating to a cultivation method allowing the cultivation of brown rice shoots for food, without rotting of the germinated brown rice. Again, the present invention relates to a food produced by using the brown rice shoots cultivated by means of the cultivation method. Also, the present invention relates to a method for producing food by using the brown rice shoots cultivated by means of the cultivation method.
