METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a heterocyclic compound that optimizes the yield of a quinolinone compound.SOLUTION: The method includes: reacting a mixture of 1-methylpiperazine and 5-chloro-2-nitroaniline in a first organic solvent at a first temperature in a range of about 90°C to about 110°C to provide a compound of the formula VIH; cooling the mixture including the compound of formula VIH down to a second temperature in a range of about 85°C to about 95°C; adding a large amount of a second solvent different from the first solvent to the mixture; and forming a slurry of an amino-substituted benzimidazolyl quinolinone compound, where the second solvent is heated up to the second temperature.
