PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic thermoplastic resin that is excellent in transparency, heat resistance and flexibility and has birefringence highly controlled.SOLUTION: An acrylic thermoplastic resin is a block copolymer that comprises one or more of each of a methacrylic copolymer block (A) and an acrylic copolymer block (B) having a repeating unit derived from at least one kind of acrylic ester monomer. The methacrylic copolymer block (A) is a random copolymer block having a repeating unit derived from a methacrylate monomer and repeating units derived from two kinds of N-substituted maleimide monomers, while the acrylic copolymer block (B) has a repeating unit derived from an acrylic ester monomer.
