<p>A swivel caster is provided with pivoting sections arranged in two tiers in the vertical direction. The lower-tier pivoting section is mounted to the upper-tier support shaft of the upper-tier pivoting section and is consequently capable of swinging relative to the upper-tier pivoting section. A swivel fitting for rotatably supporting a wheel is mounted to the lower-tier support shaft of the lower-tier pivoting section and is consequently capable of swinging relative to the lower-tier pivoting section. The lower-tier pivoting shaft is disposed so as to be located away in the horizontal direction from the upper-tier support shaft and so as to be located away in the horizontal direction from the vertical line passing through the wheel shaft of the swivel fitting. The distance by which the support shaft of the lower-tier pivoting section is located away from the support shaft of the upper-tier pivoting section and the distance by which the support shaft of the lower-tier pivoting section is located away from the vertical line passing through the wheel shaft of the swivel fitting are set to be equal to each other.</p> |
