EXTRACTING ERD/ERS FEATURE USING PSO

An apparatus for electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis and an analyzing method of EEG are disclosed. The EEG analyzing apparatus measures an EEG and then the measured EEG is analyzed using a PSO algorithm. The EEG analyzing apparatus extracts a feature point of the EEG using the PSO algorithm. The feature point can be decided as a position having the largest amplitude of the EEG among the EEGs illustrated on a time-frequency plane. The extracted feature point can be used to presume the intention of a user.
