<p>The present invention provides an apparatus for ocular treatment which proceeds treatment by testing pulse energy suitability of the therapeutic beam for ocular tissues in order to emit the therapeutic beam having pulse energy corresponding to different ocular tissues, and a control method thereof. The apparatus for ocular treatment comprises: a beam generation unit which generates beam having different pulse energies; a bubble detection unit which detects bubble generation and an amount of generated bubbles according to the pulse energy of beam generated from the beam generation unit and emitted on the ocular therapeutic area; and a control unit which controls operation of the beam generation unit in order to adjust the pulse energy of the beam generated from the beam generation unit based on signals from the bubble detection unit. The apparatus for ocular treatment hereby irradiates the ocular therapeutic area with testing beam before irradiating with the therapeutic beam and obtains pulse energy information for the therapeutic beam corresponding to tissues of the treatment area. Therefore the apparatus for ocular treatment can obtain treatment efficiency and safety for the treatment area.
