<p>An adhesive for inorganic fibers including SiO 2 , CaO and Al 2 O 3 within a range excluding the range I defined by the following points A, 8, 18, 19 and 20 in the SiO 2 -Al 2 O 3 -CaO state diagram shown in Fig. 1 , and including no zeolite.
