The method involves having adjustment device (1) with a a turntable (2). The rotation (3) of the turntable is within range of rotation adjustable setting portion (4). The rotation of the turntable is bounded on end of the rotation range by a first rotation stop and the turntable by a rotary actuator (6) is rotatable. The damage to the adjustment device is prevented to the maximum torque of the rotary actuator generated by the torque limiter and the rotation (3) is performed. An independent claim is included for an adjusting device.
