PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly supply powder by suppressing deviation in density of the powder, which is caused in advancing a feeder box, and further not generating resistance against flow state of the powder in the feeder box and motion of the feeder box. SOLUTION: A powder feeder includes a feeder box 11 and partitioning plates 20 for partitioning the internal space of the feeder box 11 into a plurality of partitioning chambers 17, which are lined up in the advancing/retreating direction of the feeder box 11. The partitioning plates 20 are swingably supported using swing shafts 14, which are set at the upper ends of the feeder box 11, as fulcrums, and a stopper mechanism 30 regulates the partitioning plates 20 not to swing to rearward of upright state. When starting advance of the feeder box 11, each of the partitioning plates 20 is made upright by an upright mechanism 40, and, when succeedingly advancing the feeder box 11, deviation of powder P in advancing the feeder box 11 is prevented while maintaining the upright state of the partitioning plates 20 by a stopper mechanism 30. When charging the powder or retreating the feeder box 11, the partitioning plates 20 are freely swung in accordance with the flow state of the powder P, so that the powder is smoothly charged.
